Is H&M selling out? H&M has collaborated with the likes of Versace and Alexander Wang over its many successful years, and now on the 24th of March they are releasing a new collection, H&M Loves Coachella. Is H&M selling out? H&M has collaborated with the likes of Versace and Alexander Wang over its many successful years, and now on the 24th of March it's releasing a new collection, H&M Loves Coachella. With the Coachella festival always being such an important marketplace to show off the newest and hottest styles for the summer, it seems a bit too easy for H&M to make a "Coachella" collection. However, can we truly be surprised? With celebrities getting paid thousands of dollars in endorsements to attend the festival and wear their brands, we should have expected this sooner.

Maybe the reason why more brands haven’t teamed up with the festival is because the reality may be that those who attend Coachella will not actually be the ones wearing the “Coachella” collection. With tickets to the festival selling out in minutes, it is safe to say that the majority of the population will not be heading out to the California desert for the carefree vibes and hot and heavy music. So who is this collection for? Instead, we are likely to see those dreaming of Californication buying this collection to embrace their inner hippie. This collection is tailored for music lovers who love Coachella as a state of mind – that may be a much bigger audience than those found on festival grounds. Selling out or not, none can deny that this is a big business move for H&M as this collection is likely to be a hit.
