Although quite a change from the football pitch, Alex appeared entirely at ease on the set, showing the same flair and verve that lead to him being named one of the best players by his colleagues in the Championship last season.

Although quite a change from the football pitch, Alex appeared entirely at ease on the set, showing the same flair and verve that lead to him being named one of the best players by his colleagues in the Championship last season.

It’s clear that Alex was excited to be partaking in something he is passionate about, and this enthusiasm is something the levelheaded young professional is keen to share. In fact he was named the newest ambassador for youth engagement programme, the Passion Project in December 2015, a partnership stemming from his knowledge of, “What it feels like to make a living doing something you love.”

This sentiment epitomises the ideals of the Passion Project, which encourages young people to pursue their dreams and supports them in their endeavours to make a living from doing something they are passionate about. Alex, as a talented footballer, is a natural exponent of this philosophy, having dedicated himself to the sport from a young age. His dedication and love for the game has enabled him to make the most of his opportunities in the world of football – a drive he is passionate about instilling in others.

As an ambassador for the Passion Project, Alex hopes to inspire other young people to follow in his footsteps and find opportunities that allow them to express their creativity, pursue their dreams and, ultimately, find success, like he has, in doing what they love.
